Organica is currently looking to fill an Plant Manager position, reporting to Senior Director – Contracts. The position is responsible for overseeing and managing the operation and maintenance of all the watewater treatment plants (WWTPs) operated by Organica Water in Allahabad.


Summary of Responsibilities

  • Oversee and plan the day-to-day operation of the plants, ensuring that the plant is performing as required, producing the required effluent quality, and operating as planned
  • Oversee and plan the day-to-day maintenance operations required for the proper operation of the different plants process units, including all planned, preventive and unforeseen maintenance actions required
  • Oversee all sampling and analyses required for operational and regulatory requirements, including submitting the required reports to the relevant authorities in a timely fashion
  • Plan staffing schedules for normal operation of the plants
  • Identify, engage and interact with all service providers and subcontractors required for the smooth operation and maintenance of the plants, including cleaning, security, facility maintenance, sludge and screenings disposal, mechanical and electrical sub-contractors, etc.
  • Ensure timely procurement of all consumables required for the regular operation of the plants, including chemicals, lab materials, spare parts, etc.
  • Ensure Health and Safety of staff and visitors as required by local regulation, including periodic audits, providing health and safety equipment and training, etc.
  • Report internally to Organica management on plant status, staffing requirements, interactions with Client and regulators
  • Interact and report with Organica Process and Operations teams on Process and Operational issues, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Handle clients, vendors, local authorities as required for the smooth operation of the wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) in Allahabad


Qualifications and key competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Proven experience in Site / Plant/ Facilities Management/ Operation Maintenance
  • Strong understanding of Costing & Planning
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer savvy and possess good knowledge about MS Office, familiar with CRM etc.
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships
  • Knowledge of the environment and wastewater management industry
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in market research and analysis
  • Open to travel
