Organica is currently looking to fill a C&I Engineer position.

 

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Involvement in PLC programming
    • Collecting requirements of other disciplines to define functionalities
    • Creating functional specific documentations
    • Creating PLC programs in Tia Portal, WinCC Professional or PCS7
    • Responsible for software testing
    • Creating test scripts
    • Testing and verifying software with other disciplines and clients
  • Planning and managing the design of control systems and associated equipment
    • Preparing Junction Box wiring diagrams, Instrument hook up drawings, Control system single line drawing & BOM, Control system three line diagrams & BOM, PLC panel OGA, IGA & BOM, Instrument cable termination schedule, Control cable termination schedule
    • Preparing wiring diagrams for cable schedules for automation circuits
    • Carrying out detailed design of PLC and SCADA systems
  • Involvement in the commissioning of Organica equipment and treatment plants globally
    • Traveling to Organica installations globally, as required to complete the activities listed below
    • Leading or assisting in biological commissioning all wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) designed by Organica
    • Leading or assisting in training WWTP operators on how to operate the WWTP, including operation of all main equipment, use of the PLC, sampling, execution of lab analyses, operation and maintenance of online analyzers
    • Leading or assisting in coordinating all Organica engineering activities related to commissioning (process engineering, Control and Instrumentation engineering)
    • Assisting in commissioning and troubleshooting the operation of products sold by Organica
    • Leading or assisting in the execution of the Acceptance Test for the Organica products and plants
    • Interface with the Organica project manager(s) and if required with the end client throughout the various commissioning activities in order to ensure orderly and timely resolution of any technical or operational issues that may come up
  • Participate in the development of Organica equipment/products
  • Participates in the creation of training material, coaches and trains new employees
  • Selecting instruments required for controlling and monitoring plant performance
  • Coordinating with the Technical Innovation department and independent institutes for improving automation design
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after construction
  • Site supervision during construction and participating in the on-site commissioning and testing activities
  • Coordinate ECI related issues with satellite offices
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a variety of automation, electrical engineering positions
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, control systems, process instrumentation is a must and preference will be given to candidates with SIMATIC PCS7 and TIA Portal experiences
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in instrumentation a control design / detailed engineering, construction and commissioning is a must. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the field of Water and Waste Water
  • Excellent command over written and spoken English
  • Good skills at MS Office
  • Eplan and / or AutoCAD experience is a plus
  • International project experience is a plus
