45 MLD FCR Design Nearly Completed

Posted on December 5, 2012

In spring 2012 Organica signed a contract for the design of a new 45,000 m3/d WWTP to be set up in a business park in the Bekasi province of Indonesia. The WWTP will replace an existing wastewater treatment plant that is based on conventional activated sludge technology. The owner of the site chose the Organica FCR solution to free up land for further development, while simultaneously maintaining the value of the land in the surrounding offices. In addition, thanks to the reduced sludge production and energy demand compared to the current facility the operator of the WWTP will realize important savings on the operational expenses. In October Organica submitted the detailed mechanical and electrical engineering package and the client has officially accepted it. This is a major milestone as this concludes 90% of the engineering scope in the project. The team will now carry out finishing touches to the detailed design and prepare a detailed estimate for the client for Phase 2 of the project. This will be submitted to the client officially in mid-November marking end of this phase of the project. The build phase is expected to commence in early 2013.
